Task 3 - Initial Sketches

Once the mood boards had been created we had to go and create 6 initial sketches on A6 sheets of paper, below are the sketches I created.

This is forest idea was a basic idea of a forest, as you can see there isn't much to it except for the usual aspects you'd usually see.

This sketch showcases a house that has a tree growing through it, I wanted to give off this vibe of elves living off the land and using trees to build their homes without disturbing nature.

This next sketch was created to show an overgrown town that has now turned into a forest, as you can see the middle of the town features a unique piece of architecture that looks quite magical to a point. I also tried to make the town look scientific but in a way that the science is based from magic to bring out this enchanted mood.

This sketch is of a forest with a swamp type asthetic, as you can see there is a more water around the area then there is land. There is also an animal featured in this drawing to show off life living in one of my images.

This sketch was created with the thought of good vs evil in mind, on the right you have a dark forest filled with poisonous mushrooms, dead branches and evil creatures. On the other hand you have the light side with flowers sprouting and a sword implanted in a stump for a hero to come along and collect.

This is an idea for a house that can be found in a forest, my goal was to create this idea of seeing a normal modern house surrounded by a forest and enchanted vegetation.

This was a really quick sketch of a snowy forest, my goal was to change up the usual green and spring time looking forrest to swap it for a wintery version.

This drawing concentrated more on a stream running through a forest.

This drawing was set within a swamp, it features a stream running through the middle with trees that are more old and worn down with vines and murky leaves hanging from the branches. I also included a swamp monster that would patrol around the swampy forest.
